    St. Charles Healthcare Community Benefit Grants

    St. Charles Health System has selected childhood preventive  health and education and obesity as strategic priorities for the Community Benefit Grants Program for the communities served by all four of the St. Charles hospital facilities.  They support best practice, evidence based initiatives that will address community need and better the region as a whole.

    Oregon Based Funding Opportunities

    OHSU Knight Cancer Institute Community Partnership Program

    The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute Community Partnership Program is designed to build sustainable collaborations statewide by providing grants and other resources to address community-identified cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship needs.  Next funding cycle begins mid January 2016.  Sign up to receive notification of future funding cycles from the Community Partnership Program.

    Ford Family Foundation 

    The Ford Family Foundation makes grants to public charities that predominantly benefit small communities in rural Oregon and Siskiyou County, Calif.

    Geography served: Rural communities with less than 30,000 in population not adjacent to or part of an urban or metropolitan area.

    Oregon Community Foundation

    As a responsive arm of Oregon Community Foundation, the Community Grant Program awards about 300 grants each year, mostly to small- and moderate-size nonprofits. The average grant is $20,000. OCF typically receives 350 to 425 proposals per grant cycle.

    Funding Priorities:

    • Health & Wellbeing of Vulnerable Populations (30 to 40 percent of grants)
    • Educational Opportunities & Achievement (30 to 40 percent of grants)

    Application deadlines are January 15 and July 15.

Find GRANTS for  nonprofit, 501c3, NGO, education, religious or community organization, municipal government agency or small business by extensive search criteria.

    Regional and National Funding Opportunities

    Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF)

    The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) provides grants for projects in the United States and U.S. territories that advance their mission to improve the health and health care of all Americans. They awards most grants through calls for proposals (CFPs) connected with their areas of focus.  Focus Areas; Child and Family Well-Being, Health Coverage, Health Leadership and Workforce, Health System Improvement, Healthy Communities, Healthy Weight. They accept unsolicited proposals for projects that suggest new and creative approaches to solving health and health care problems.

    Cambia Health Foundation

    The Cambia Health Foundation is committed to supporting health care transformation, the health of underserved children and families, and innovation in palliative care in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah.

    Federal Funding Opportunities

    The program management office was established, in 2002, and is managed by the Department of Health and Human Services.  It was chartered to deliver a system that provides a centralized location for grant seekers to find and apply for federal funding opportunities.Today, the system houses information on over 1,000 grant programs and vets grant applications for 26 federal grant-making agencies.
